Akzo boosts Italy powder coatings

Akzo Nobel will double capacity of the world’s largest powder coatings plant, in Cernobbio, Italy, partly in response to escalating demand from eastern Europe.

Powder coatings consume filler minerals such as calcium carbonate and barytes, TiO2 as the major white pigment, and coloured pigments such as iron oxides and chromium compounds.
