During 11-13 May 2007, industrial minerals producers all over Europe will be taking part in the first pan-European Minerals Day – an initiative driven by Europe’s industrial minerals sector.
EMD is an excellent opportunity for the public at large to find out more about the world of non-metallic, non-fuel minerals and how they are mined and processed. Perhaps most crucially, it will boost awareness of the importance of minerals in our everyday lives, both at home and at work. Of course, the other key factor is to demonstrate that minerals companies are responsible neighbours.
