Russia’s giant integrated magnesia and refractories group, Magnezit Group JSC, has acquired 99.6% of the shares of Slovmag a.s. Lubenik, one of Slovakia’s two magnesite producers (the other being Slovenské Magnezitové Závody a.s. Jelsava).
Although with refractory production facilities in Germany and China, the Slovmag buy marks Magnezit’s first overseas magnesia raw material source.
