Nabaltec AG, a leading producer of alumina- and magnesia-based flame retardants and raw materials for technical ceramics, is on target to complete construction of a new calcium and alumina based additives plant by Q4 2009.
According to Nabaltec’s managing director, Gerhard Witzany, despite the weaker market conditions industrial scale production and marketing of the additives are scheduled to begin in Q4 2009, and trial production will start as early as Q3 2009.
Initial capacity in the first phase will stand at 10,000 tpa, and will be adjusted according to market demand.
