Even though demand for potash has drastically declined since the global economy crashed in September 2008, the fertiliser mineral remains extremely popular (see IM May 09, p56: Potash tunnel vision), meaning producers are concentrating more than ever on the expansion of their potash assets, such as Potash One.
The Canadian company, which focuses on the exploration and development of potash, is now centralising its efforts on the development of its Legacy Project, a pre-feasibility stage solution mining potash operation.
The project, which is located in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, approximately 80km northwest of Regina, consists of 97,240 acres (about 394km2) of crown mineral lands held by subsurface mineral permit KP 289.
