The market for graphite produced in North America remained stable this month, but producers are planning price hikes for the refractory mineral in the near future.
Jamie Deith, president of the privately owned Eagle Graphite Corp., told IM: We are holding prices steady for now, but may be increasing prices at some point in the near future due to a combination of factors including currency fluctuations between the US and Canadian dollar, which have made our production costs more expensive.
