Prices for acid grade fluorspar have strengthened since the start of the year as inventories are drawn down and sales increase, market sources told IM.
After a long period of stagnant sales seen over the course of 2009, it is understood that suppliers are finally seeing a return to buying since the New Year and a gradual reduction in inventory levels.
“Acidspar seems to be making a slow steady come back. We are taking deliveries and drawing down inventories,” said a US trader.
