Martin Marietta Materials Inc., a leading US producer of construction aggregates, magnesia-based chemicals and dolomitic lime, reported a loss for Q4 2009 but record earnings from its specialty magnesia business.
Overall, the company recorded a loss of $3.2m., down from a profit of $25.3m. in Q4 2008, while revenue declined 20% to $374.7m.
