Price rises in soda ash and sodium bicarbonate contributed to Australia’s Penrice Soda Holdings Ltd increasing its operating profits by 5% for its fiscal first half.
The Adelaide-based group reported underlying earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of A$6.81m. ($6.13m.) for the six months ending 31 December 2009, compared to A$6.46m. ($5.82m.) a year earlier.
