Great Western Minerals Group Ltd is targeting production at its Steenkampskraal rare earth project in South Africa during 2012, making it one of the leaders in a huge pack of junior exploration groups.
Located in the Western Cape province, the project is a disused thorium mine with a contained resource of 30,000 tonnes total rare earth oxides (REO), the Canadian group said.
