Prices for fluorspar-derived chemicals produced in China, namely hydrofluoric acid (HF) and aluminium fluoride (AlF3), have surged over the past two months in line with higher prices for fluorspar and other raw materials.According to industry sources, prices for AlF3 now stand at some RMB 7,500/tonne ($1,098/tonne), compared to just RMB 5,000/tonne ($732/tonne) at the start of the year.
