Logistics in the 21st century

The evolution of Goldenboat Holding and its expanding minerals business has underlined the importance of partner alliances in modern logistics, pioneering new concepts in shipping, and developing new IT systems

The company names of Steinbock Minerals Ltd, Quintermina AG, and Yasheya Ltd are quite well known in the mineral trading world, but perhaps less so is that of their parent company, Goldenboat Holding.

The group started out in 1988 when Steinbock Bauxit AG was founded in Switzerland, as a holding and trading company to build and operate a refractory bauxite production at Guizhou Star Minerals, in China, now owned and operated by C-E Minerals, part of the Imerys group (although Goldenboat still owns 17.5%).




It has since expanded into a significant force in sourcing and shipping a range of industrial minerals from China, North Korea, and Asian locations to customers worldwide, with more expected in the pipeline.

Much of Goldenboat’s growth in mineral sourcing has been as a direct consequence of logistically driven Yasheya simply responding to customers’ specific portfolio requirements.
