Earlier this year, Flavio Rezende Barbosa was elected as the new chief financial officer at Brazilian magnesite and refractories group, Magnesita Refratarios SA.
The appointment replaced Thiago Emanuel Rodrigues who was acting CFO following the death of Maur’cio Lustosa de Castro in an aircraft accident in Venezuela in mid-2009.
Barbosa has held a number of positions within the finance industry at companies such as Citigroup and Santander Investments Securities Inc.
