Chilean miner’s production exceeds Q3 forecasts while sales increase 25%

Atacama Minerals Corp. recorded higher than budgeted iodine production levels during the third quarter of 2010 with 976,395 tonnes crude ore mined at a grade of 618ppm iodine, yielding 322 tonnes iodine.

 

This represents almost a 40% increase in crude ore production, and a 13% increase in iodine concentrate production, over Q3 2009.

 

Notably, the grade of iodine also increased, from 544ppm to 618ppm...
