China-based Qingdao Nanxi Import & Export Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of the Nanxi Group, supplies industrial minerals including bauxite, fluorspar, fused alumina, fused silica, graphite, magnesite, cement clinker, silicon carbide, spinel and vermiculite to Asia, Europe, North and Latin America.

The company’s main markets are spread between the refractories, steel, abrasives, ceramics and cement industries.

Nanxi sources industrial minerals from China, fluorspar from Mexico and chromite from Pakistan and Turkey. The Chinese minerals are exported to Europe, Japan and South Korea while chromite is exported to China and Spain. The company is also the Spanish distributor of Mexichem Fluor, the world’s largest producer of fluorspar.

Qingdao Nanxi was created in Qingdao, Shandong, in 1999 by managing director Nancy Wang in order to export Chinese minerals. In 2007, the company opened a European office, Europe Nanxi Minerals, SA, in Bilbao, Spain. What developments have...
