The Ceramics division of UK-based speciality materials group Cookson Group Plc reported a 52% increase in profits in the second half of 2010 as refractory and foundry markets continued to recover.
The business, which trades under the brand names Vesuvius and Foseco, posted a trading profit of £90.6m. ($147.6m.), up from £59.5m. ($96.9m.) in the second half of 2009. In the same period, sales rose 29% to £1.5bn ($2.4bn)....
