Vietnam silica sand and kaolin prices rise 10% as inflation soars

Exporters raise prices with immediate effect as country’s inflation rate escalates

Producers of silica sand and kaolin produced in Vietnam have increased prices by up to 10% with immediate effect this month as a result of soaring inflationary cost pressures, exporters have told IM

 

A representative from a leading export company based in Ho Chi Minh City told IM: “We can foresee that prices of mineral exports will continue into the second quarter by at least 5-10% more due to the non-stop increase in the local consumer price index (CPI)”.
