Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Ma’aden) has started initial production of caustic calcined magnesia at its magnesite processing plant in Al Madinah Al Munawarah, in western Saudi Arabia.

The plant, about 350km north-east of Jeddah, comprises two units, one producing caustic calcined magnesia (CCM) with a name plate capacity of 39,000 tpa, and the other producing dead burned magnesia (DBM) with a name plate capacity of 32,000 tpa....
