Leading global vermiculite producer Palabora Mining Co. (PMC) is struggling to meet demand for its vermiculite as its resource diminishes, the company told IM at a conference last month.

The issue has come as global demand for vermiculite, particularly for coarse grained grades, has soared, with industry participants expressing fears that coarse grained material will become increasingly scarce.
