Prices of antimony trioxide, a key raw material for the production of flame retardants and other chemicals, have softened further in recent weeks within China, in line with antimony metal prices.
According to distributors based in China, latest prices for antimony trioxide, produced by reacting antimony metal with oxygen, are now at $13,700-13,900/tonne, down from $13,900-14,000/tonne (graded 99.5% SbO3, 20 tonne lots, FOB China) earlier in the month.
