Golden Eagle Mining (GEM) has set out its plans to become a major producer of kaolin and lime in Western Australia.
The Cadoux kaolin project has an initial resource estimate of 19.6m. tonnes and contains a primary kaolin deposit with a mine life of over 20 years, GEM said.
The Perth-based company commenced a drilling programme this month. It hopes to complete a feasibility study by the third quarter of 2012 and to have obtained board approval by the following quarter.
