Mali group eyes 200,000 tpa phosphate production by end 2012

Toguna targets tenfold increase in capacity; production restarts after 3-month break

Mali’s phosphate producer Toguna SA plans to boost phosphate rock capacity tenfold by the end of 2012 at its Tamaguilelt deposit located in the Tilemsi Valley in the north-east of the country, the company told IM.

 

“We are planning to increase our production to 200,000 tpa by the end of 2012,” Abdoulaye Djiguiba, the group’s technical director, explained.
