Texas Rare Earth Resources Corp., a heavy rare earths exploration company, has named
Marc Levier as its new chief executive officer.
Levier, also named to the companys board of directors, previously served for 16 years as a senior director of metallurgical services for Newmont Mining Corp.
Levier will lead the companys Round Top Mountain rare earth-beryllium-uranium project, in Hudspeth County, Texas.
Levier holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He previously worked for Exxon Minerals Co., Joy Manufacturing Corp. and Derrick Manufacturing Corp.
Daniel Gorski, the companys former CEO, has moved to the position of chief operating officer.
