Phosphate fertiliser prices have increased to over $600/tonne since the beginning of the year, Russian fertiliser producer Uralchem announced in its Q1 2011 results.
The company reported that during Q1 2011 prices for phosphate fertilisers grew steadily, exceeding $600/tonne, FOB Baltic and Black Sea ports, by the end of the quarter.
This represents a 27% increase on a year-to-year basis as the average phosphate fertiliser price was $610/tonne for Q1 2011 compare to $480/tonne for Q1 2010.
