Prices for TiO2 stable, foundry sands market tightens

Prices for titanium dioxide pigment (TiO2) remain stable this week but increases are expected as a cost-push could drive pigment producers to push up prices, market participants told IM.

“Pigment producers are basically driven into big price increases due to cost-push factors,” a market source told IM.

“This is not in any way solely because of large rises in the cost of TiO2 feedstock [....] there are also other factors which includes normal culprits like rising...
