Global resistance from consumers of Vietnam-sourced silica sand and kaolin have delayed implementation of price increases made by the country’s producers at the start of the year to combat inflationary pressure, exporters told IM.
Earlier this year, producers of silica sand and kaolin in Vietnam announced price hikes of up to 10% fuelled by ongoing domestic inflationary cost pressures, but the increases have only just been passed through this month.
