South Boulder Mines Ltd plans to produce 2-10m. tpa potash within the next five years at its Colluli deposit in Eritrea, East Africa, the Australian company told IM.

The Eritrean project, located about 70km from Mersa Fatma port on the Red Sea and about 200km south-east of the capital Asmara, could be in production by mid-2016.

“The potash sector has excellent long-term growth drivers and there is a large amount of sector interest,” declared managing director Lorry Hughes.
