Professor Jochen Winkler
has been appointed as head of corporate development at crenox GmbH, one of the world’s leading producers of titanium dioxide (TiO2).

Winkler is now responsible for the strategic development of the speciality chemicals producer, with a particular focus on developing new technologies, processes and products.

A renowned expert in the titanium dioxide and coatings industries in Germany, Winkler has previously worked as head of development at Hemmelrath Lackfabrik GmbH in Klingenberg. He has also worked for Sachtleben, the Duisburg-based TiO2 producer, between 1985 and 2008, leading development from 1992 onwards.

Winkler studied chemistry at the University of Stuttgart and subsequently worked at the affiliated research institute for pigments and coatings. During his tenure at Sachtleben, his emphasis was on technical service and development of pigments, but also included the development of catalysts and functional nanomaterials for UV attenuation as well...
