Diatomite and perlite producer EP Minerals LLC has been acquired by USA-based private equity investor Golden Gate Capital for an “undisclosed” amount.
The company, a subsidiary of EP Management Corp., is one of a handful of producers of diatomaceous earth (DE - see table), used in filters, absorbents, and functional additives, with Imerys-owned World Minerals representing the only other major US source.
