Recycling of the material by electrode plants puts pressure on the market

Prices for synthetic graphite fine jumped off the back of shortage of material, which is expected to continue, market participants told IM.

 

The price for synthetic graphite (fine, 98-99%) has increased to $1,000-1,200/tonne, CIF Asia, up from $950-1,000/tonne previously....
