French minerals conglomerate Imerys today announced that its Andersonville, Georgia, USA, production unit for ceramic proppants will be complete and fully operational by the end of 2011.
The proppant production unit, which has cost the group a cool $60m., was built on the Andersonville site where the group already produces rod shaped proppants and mineral drilling additives. This was built in 2007.
