Carl Homveld joined South Africa-based Micronized Group in July 2011 as the designated successor to Dr John Tew, who has been heading up the company for the last four years. He was appointed chief executive officer on 7 September 2011 and has extensive experience in the minerals processing industry accumulated during the past 21 years, including the last seven years as Company Head. During this time Homveld was responsible for the beneficiation of aluminosilicate minerals for the food, personal care, pharmaceutical, and animal feed industries.

What are your initial objectives?

My objectives would include addressing the existing business model for adaptation and facilitating the required improvements to ensure optimum growth and sustainability in an ever-changing environment, with its inherent challenges.
