Anglo-Australian group Rio Tinto Plc has signed a joint-venture agreement with Canadas North Atlantic Potash Inc to develop exploration and production possibilities in Canada.
The deal will see North Atlantic Potash, the Canadian subsidiary of Russian fertiliser producer JSC Acron, join forces with the minerals giant to look at exploration opportunities and a possible mine construction in Canada.
The JV will cover nine deposits, totalling 2.41km2. North Atlantic Potash holds potash permits for these prospects, which are located near Last...
