Anglo-Australian group Rio Tinto Plc has signed a joint-venture agreement with Canada’s North Atlantic Potash Inc to develop exploration and production possibilities in Canada.
The deal will see North Atlantic Potash, the Canadian subsidiary of Russian fertiliser producer JSC Acron, join forces with the minerals giant to look at exploration opportunities and a possible mine construction in Canada.
