Titanium minerals production up 14% as furnace is rebuilt at Quebec operation

Rio Tinto’s borates production dropped 10% in the third quarter as the company carried out a planned maintenance shutdown at its mine in Boron, California.

The group produced 127,000 tonnes of borates over the three-month period, down from 141,000 tonnes in the same period last year.
