Canada Fluorspar Inc. (CFI) and French chemicals company Arkema have agreed to form a joint venture to reactivate the St Lawrence fluorspar mines in Newfoundland, Canada.
The partners will each take a 50% stake in the new entity, Newspar, which aims to start producing chemical-grade fluorspar in 2013.
