Merkol doo, a trading company based in Belgrade, Serbia, was established in 2011 by Marinko Bosnjak and his son Filip. The family-owned company imports and distributes fused alumina, silicon carbide, olivine, fused magnesite, chromite, perlite, petcoke, ferro alloys, steel shot, graphite, bauxite, and talc for the abrasive, refractories, foundry, steel and non-ferrous metals and construction industries.

Merkol, which mainly imports from China and India, also sources its minerals from Turkey, South Africa, Greece, and Russia for customers in Serbia and neighbouring countries. The development of the company is based on establishing long-term representative contracts with suppliers, availability of the products in local warehouse in addition to pre and post-sale support to the customers.
