What was it that Henning Jensen, former CEO of RHI AG said in May this year, just after acquiring Norwegian magnesia producer SMA Mineral Mangesia AS? - “It’s not over after this one.”

How right Jensen was, although he was not present to witness his prophecy since he resigned rather suddenly in September, and was immediately replaced by Franz Struzl, RHI’s fourth CEO in as many years.

But business goes on, and RHI has resolutely stuck to its strategy of striving for 80% self-sufficiency in magnesia raw materials by signing a contract to acquire Republic of Ireland-based Premier Periclase Ltd (PPL) for €21m. ($15.7m.)....
