Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan (PotashCorp), the world’s leading fertiliser producer, more than doubled its net earnings in Q3, owing largely to higher prices, the company said.
Third-quarter earnings reached $826m., up from $343m. in Q3 2010.
“Although customers prudently managed inventory risk, the undeniable need for potash, phosphate and nitrogen ensured our products moved through the system to reach farmers around the world,” said Bill Doyle, CEO of PotashCorp.
