China’s refractory minerals industry is experiencing tough times, not just from the recent slackening of domestic market growth, but also from poor planning, mining techniques, and large export volumes.

 

Speaking at this week’s UNITECR 2011 conference in Kyoto, Japan, Li Hongxia, president of China’s respected Luoyang Institute of Refractory Research, described how the development of China’s refractories industry has been impacted by the slowdown in the country’s iron and steel industry.
