KaMin to hike kaolin in 2012; high rare earths prices driving substitution search

Georgia-based KaMin LLC will increase prices for its paper grade kaolin clay products globally on 1 January 2012, or as contracts allow.

The announcement came following predictions from Georgia producers in July that increased raw material, transportation and liquid fuel costs would drive kaolin hikes in 2012.

“KaMin is committed to investing the necessary resources in technology, innovation and people for long-term sustainability in order to serve its customers at a high level,” KaMin said.
