Molycorp Inc. has formed a joint-venture company to build a rare earth magnets plant in Japan by January 2013, the US rare earths group said.
The company will partner Japan’s Daido Steel Co. Ltd and Mitsubishi Corp. to establish a 500 tpa neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets plant in Nakatsugawa, Gifu prefecture.
