Andalusite prices are expected to rise by between 2-5% in the new year on the back of increased demand from the refractory industry.
The price rise follows on from Imerys interview in IM in October, in which vice president Damien Caby said that prices for all its products would rise between 5-8% in January.
Andalusite is used as a feedstock for refractory and foundry products.
