IM’s second Roundtable & Dinner took place on 1 December 2011, following the success of the inaugural event last year, and this time expanding on the previous year’s delegate numbers to 75.

Although “Moving Minerals” was its theme once again, relevantly located as it was in the shipping hub of Amsterdam, this year’s focus was very much on specific mineral market supply chains.

To that end, the attendees listened to experts examine and discuss challenges and solutions to mineral supply chains for the titanium dioxide, oilfield, refractory and foundry markets in Europe.

Online tracking and contracts

Kicking off proceedings, Abel Coplet, CEO, Yasheya Ltd, Switzerland, impressed attendees with his techno wizardry by conducting his presentation on an i-Pad hooked to the internet which provided for a live demonstration of Yasheya’s online system for keeping track of its global mineral shipments.
