Canada’s George Gordon First Nation is suing the federal and provincial governments of Canada and Saskatchewan for $10bn, arguing it has been “cheated off” over potash and oil developments, including deposits owned by mining giant BHP Billiton and Russian fertiliser group JSC Acron.
