Wisconsin is set to introduce two new bills to regulate the approval of sand mines amid a rush of interest in frac sand production in the northern US state.
State Senator Kathleen Vinehout is introducing legislature to the Wisconsin State Senate that will impose new conditions on frac sand mining companies applying for permits.
Senator Vinehout told IM that currently we have a very uneven process and added that it is in everyones best interest to have a transparent public process.
