Trevor Matthews, CEO of Australian zircon producer Matilda Zircon, spoke to IM about the company’s Tiwi Islands zircon and rutile project, as well as its Keysbrook zircon-leucoxene project.
What are your objectives as Matilda Zircon’s new CEO?
I will be working closely with the Matilda Zircon board to ensure that the company has the appropriate resources, basic funding and skilled people, to deliver on the strategy.

One of the positive aspects of Matilda is that it has a pipeline of two high quality mineral sands projects which are planned to be constructed and producing within the next two to three years.
