IM has received contrasting reports on graphite pricing for the start of July. While differing figures make it difficult to accurately gauge trends, the general feeling is that the market for all grades is softening.
One North American market source suggested that prices for flake 94-97% C, -100 mesh, had fallen $100/tonne from $1,900-2,300 to $1,800-2,200/tonne, while flake 90% C -100 mesh was down more moderately from $1,350-1,700 to $1,275-1,650/tonne.
