The Chinese government announced its plans last week to begin strategically storing fluorspar resources, prompting some to speculate that this marks the beginning of consolidation of the industry.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) submitted a list of ten companies which it says comply with fluorspar entry conditions set out by the body. Any company which is not on this list, or the ones that precede it, will be forced out of Chinas fluorspar mining industry.
