UK construction activity hits two-and-a-half year low

Construction activity in the UK dipped at its fastest pace in two-and-a-half years in June according to data released on Tuesday.
The Markit/CIPS UK Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for the construction sector dipped from 54.4 points in May to 48.2 points last month. This is the lowest reading on record since December 2009 according to Markit.
