Bryan A Shinn has been president of US Silica since March 2011 and CEO since January 2012. He was employed by the E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company from 1983 to September 2009, where he worked in a wide range of departments at DuPont, ranging from the Atomic Energy Division to polymers. He guided US Silica through its recent IPO.

What are your objectives as the new CEO?

The first objective, dating back to when I became CEO in January, was to have a successful IPO and launch us out into the public market. We have done well at that.
